Passoni have been quietly forging their reputation as elite masters of all the great materials used in bike building. Specializing in titanium, steel, and carbon manufacturing, Passoni have created the Fidia Disco using their deep knowledge of Ti and carbon, and how each material best works when applied to a racing frame.

For the Fidia Disco, Passoni have taken carbon and titanium filaments and woven them together so you are getting a new carbon structure that will offer a ride quality that feels vaguely familiar and wildly new at the same time. The hybrid tubes are all woven in Italy, and are shaped to maximize stiffness without sacrificing that ti cushioning that will be an essential component of the bike’s raison d’etre.

The bottom bracket shell uses the carbon-titanium mix while the fittings all use a super strong grade 5 titanium to ensure durability and quick acceleration when you put the hammer down. They have given the rear triangle a wishbone shape at the seat tube/seatstays interface, to maximize rigidity and vertical compliance. They’ve topped it off with 3D printed titanium dropouts. If that isn’t enough, all the design and manufacturing is done in Italy, something Passoni are particularly proud of.
